Dealing With Old Traffic Tickets

Sometimes it is important to deal with old traffic tickets before moving on to deal with current ones.  For example, if your license has been revoked because of your failure to appear on an old traffic ticket, perhaps it is time to handle that old traffic ticket and the failure to appear.  As long as that is left on you record, you will have your license revoked by the Division of Motor Vehicles.  When that happens, you can often be cited for Driving While License Revoked.  This is a relatively serious charge.

This is a common problem for many of our clients.  Many have called us about having traffic ticket trouble in their past.  Those problems from the past have returned to haunt them.  Many people have trouble remembering what their original traffic ticket was.  It is only by looking at their driving record that we can determine what the problem is.  After this driving record check, we advise the client as to what steps that can be taken to help them get their license back.  If the client is able to get their license back, then we can often have a much better chance at negotiating the Driving While License Revoked ticket.

You may be able to handle this on your own; you pull your driving record, see what old traffic tickets and “Failure to Appears” you have not resolved, and take care of them.  However, many people find that to be a headache, and want a traffic ticket lawyer to take care of the tickets, or at the least, guide them throughout the process.  Most people want to get their license reinstated as quickly as possible, so that they can get on with their lives.  Our law firm would be honored if you would select us to handle your traffic ticket matter.
