One question that many people have is what happens if they do not pay off their tickets. This is considered failure to comply. Sometimes this occurs when a traffic ticket attorney gets most of the charges reduced or dismissed, and there is one charge that is plead guilty to. The client is asked to pay it off by the attorney, but the client forgets. If this occurs, and the client does not pay off the ticket in the allotted amount of time then they will have their drivers license suspended.
After the drivers license is suspended, the person may drive for years without realizing that they are driving illegally. When they are pulled over by a law enforcement officer, and their license is run through the system, it will show up as revoked. When this happens, they could charged with Driving While License Revoked. This comes as a surprise to many people who are charged. If you have had this problem, you will have to go back and fix the failure to comply with the conviction of the old ticket. This means that you must pay off any fines, do any community service, or anything else required by the old ticket. There may be a late fee charged for failing to comply with the judgment within the amount of time given. When this happens, you have to pay the late fee as well. At that point, you should be able to get your license.
You still have the Driving While License Revoked charge to deal with. You can either handle this on your own, or you can hire an attorney to represent you. An attorney can help you work to resolve the current charge so that you are not found in the same situation, years later. The best policy is to make sure that your traffic tickets are taken care of in the first place.
